Tri-County Contracting completed this Beloit roofing and siding project on East Colley Road as part of a larger whole-home exterior update. In addition to a new CertainTeed NorthGate roof and LP SmartSide siding, the project included 26 ProVia replacement windows, four Velux skylights, and several new ProVia entry and patio doors.

The home already had a distinctive exterior with multiple dormers, several roof sections, and a long covered front porch. Updating so many exterior components at once created an opportunity to give the home a more cohesive look while preserving the architectural details that gave it character.

Beloit Roof Replacement With CertainTeed NorthGate Shingles

The existing roof covered a large and detailed roofline with multiple dormers, intersecting sections, and several transitions across the front of the home. Because so many surfaces are visible at once, the new roof shingles needed to create a consistent finished look across the entire structure.

Tri-County installed CertainTeed NorthGate shingles in Moire Black. The darker shingle color adds contrast against the lighter siding and white trim while still fitting naturally with the scale and style of the house.

Four Velux solar vented skylights were also installed as part of the roofing work. Completing the skylight work alongside the roof replacement allowed those roof openings and the surrounding roofing materials to be addressed as part of the same exterior project.

LP SmartSide Siding Updates the Beloit Home

The original beige siding was replaced with LP SmartSide in Pelican, paired with white trim throughout the exterior.

The new color gives the home a noticeably different look without taking away from its traditional design. The contrast is especially visible around the dormers, front windows, porch, and gable ends, where the white trim helps define the architecture against the Pelican siding.

The finished combination also works well with the Moire Black roof. Instead of each exterior material feeling separate, the roofing, siding, and trim now create a more unified color palette across the home.

26 ProVia Replacement Windows & Four Skylights

Window replacement was another major part of this Beloit exterior project. Tri-County installed 26 ProVia Endure vinyl double-hung windows throughout the house.

On a home this size, consistent window styles can have a major effect on the finished exterior. The white frames create a clean, uniform look across the front elevation, especially where windows sit beneath dormers, gables, and the covered porch.

The four Velux solar vented skylights extend that update to the roof, adding new roof windows as part of the larger roofing project.

New ProVia Entry & Patio Doors

The team also replaced several exterior doors throughout the property. Tri-County installed three ProVia Endure Series sliding patio doors, a ProVia Signet Series fiberglass entry door, a ProVia Deluxe Series storm door, and a ProVia Legacy six-panel steel entry door.

Each door serves a different part of the home, but using ProVia products throughout helped maintain a consistent look alongside the new windows. Completing the door, window, siding, and roofing work together also kept new materials from being surrounded by older exterior components.

A Complete Beloit Exterior Remodeling Project

The before-and-after difference on this home comes from much more than a new siding color or roof. Roofing, siding, windows, skylights, and doors all meet at different points throughout the exterior, so each part of the project had to work visually with the others.
